There is something quite magical about the worlds that Dr. Seuss created over his lifetime. Not to mention the very wise quotes and sayings he wrote in many of his beloved books. Some of my favorites are included in the fun poster (below) I found on the internet. The first Dr. Seuss book I read was “One Fish Two Fish Red Fish Blue Fish. Loved the ride at Disney where the fish squirts you as you go around!
I can’t remember the first one for sure but since I named my pet gerbils Thing One and Thing Two when I was about 2years old, I’m betting The Cat in the Hat. My dad recorded all the Dr. Seuss books for me on reel-to-reel tapes so I could listen to him read them and read along when my mom was busy with housework or my baby sister.

I remember getting ABC for my 3rd birthday and I used to pretend to read it to my little sisters. When I turned 4 and could recognize some of the letters, I felt really clever! Thank you, Dr. Suess <3
