WHAT: In support of the Mrs.P Be-A-Famous-Writer Contest, Polka Dots Publishing, will donate 25 books to a charity of the giveaway winner’s choice. They will also receive a signed copy from one of Polka Dots Publishing books and their school library will also receive a signed book.
WHO: Parents or teachers are able to enter the child’s name and title of their story in the giveaway. Only contestants names who entered the Mrs.P contest are eligible to win the 25 Book Giveaway! We hope this encourages all youngsters ages 4 to 13 years of age to enter the Mrs.P contest!

Academy Award Winning Julia Roberts is one of the judges along with Melina Gerosa Bellows, Executive VP and Chief Creative Officer, Books, Kids, and Family at National Geographic and Mary Frances Smith-Reynolds, an elementary school teacher. The Grand Prize Winners in the two categories (4-8 years of age) and (9-13 years of age) will have their winning story professionally illustrated and made into a hard cover book. They will receive a copy of the book and their library will also receive their book. Plus there are many prizes the Sponsors are donating including art supplies from Sakura, Buyer Topia is providing the two Grand Prize Winners and their schools, a $25 Gift Certificate every month for a year so they can order more books and Powell’s Books is providing a $25 Powell’s Gift Card. Publishers MacCheeky and Hartlyn Kids are providing giveaways for the children who have entered the contest as incentives to start writing. Names will be randomly drawn out of the computer at the end of the contest and the winners will receive fabulous books.
