App of the Week :: My Wild Kingdom by Mutual of Omaha small

  Most of us grew up watching Mutual of Omaha programs after school.  This year they are celebrating their 50th Anniversary and recently launched a FREE app called My Wild Kingdom which my daughter and I are so enjoying playing with it together.  The app opens up with a calm voice welcoming us to Mutual of Omaha's My Wild Kingdom and to prepare ourselves for an adventure.  Renowned naturalist Jim Fowler and a member of the Wild Kingdom team since the show’s premiere on Jan. 6, 1963, is the narrator of this wonderful app.  Jim says  about the app: "Just like the original television program that started it 50 years ago, the new My Wild Kingdom app is a bold and original experience,” said Fowler. App of the Week: Quest for the Museum Treasures


    This educational game brings together some of the best scientific minds from Carnegie Museum of Natural History and the fun, interactive world of Zachy the Robot. Produced with help from Carnegie Museum, Quest for the Museum Treasures lets kids discover new dinosaurs, uncover rare minerals, and learn about the distant past through fossils.   This is really a packed-filled app with so many wonderful educational aspects found throughout! The story opens up with an illustration to the entrance of a colorful museum and a large sign that says "Treasure."  Okay, I am sold already!  You click the Play button to start the story and an adorable voice says "Hi, Robo friends, type in your name here."
